From strategy to implementation, identity to impact
Six practice areas. Most engagements draw on two or three at once, which is usually where the useful work is.
Practice area
AI implementation & automation
Most businesses do not need a bigger model. They need someone to work out which three tasks are quietly costing them money, whether AI is genuinely the right instrument for any of them, and what the workflow looks like once it is in place.
I start with readiness rather than tooling: what data exists, who owns the process, what happens today when it breaks, and what the organisation can realistically absorb.
Practice area
AI governance & responsible AI
Governance is what lets you defend a decision after it has been made. In practice that means naming who is accountable, defining where a human must intervene, recording why the system was configured as it was, and testing the escalation path before you need it.
I work from the NIST AI Risk Management Framework as a structure, adapted to what an organisation can genuinely maintain rather than what a policy template says.
An area of professional focus and applied practice. No formal regulatory or compliance certification is claimed.
Practice area
Project & transformation leadership
Technology initiatives rarely fail on the technology. They fail on scope that was never agreed, a stakeholder who found out late, a dependency nobody owned, or a change the organisation was never prepared to absorb.
Delivery work is mostly the discipline of making those things visible early enough to act on them.
Practice area
Technology & business consulting
A straight answer about what to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone this year. Often the most valuable output of an engagement is a decision not to spend money yet.
Practice area
Business brand & reputation management
Brand work here is not decoration. It is deciding what the business is for, saying it the same way in every place a customer encounters it, and closing the gaps where the experience contradicts the claim.
Reputation work includes the uncomfortable part: distinguishing criticism that is unfair and can be answered from criticism that is accurate and has to be fixed. The second kind is more common, and no communications strategy substitutes for addressing it.
Strategic consulting only. I do not remove legitimate public information, influence or solicit reviews, suppress lawful speech, or guarantee search rankings, review outcomes or public sentiment.
Practice area
Legal, policy & emerging technology
Where law and technology meet, the useful questions are unglamorous: what does this contract actually oblige us to do, who is accountable when an automated decision is wrong, and what will emerging regulation require us to be able to show?
I bring legal training to those questions as an analytical instrument — in research, governance design and risk assessment.
Legally trained and a legal researcher. Not a practising attorney; no current legal licensure is claimed. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice.
Not sure which of these you need?
Most engagements start with a conversation about the problem rather than the service. Describe what is not working and we can establish whether I am the right person for it.
